Dr. Sumyuktha Anand is a neuroscientist, science communicator, and educator with a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Dartmouth College, USA. Her research has focused on neural circuitry, addiction and reward systems, neuro-oncology, and neurodevelopment. She is currently a Curriculum Development Specialist at JoVE, where she works with faculty at universities to enhance science education through visual learning resources, and serves as an editor at Knowing Neurons, an internationally recognized neuroscience outreach platform. Passionate about making science accessible beyond academia, Dr. Anand is the co-curator of Pint of View Chennai, a public lecture platform that brings together scientists, artists, historians, and experts to share ideas with curious audiences in informal spaces. Through her talks and writing, she aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge neuroscience and everyday life, making complex scientific ideas engaging, relatable, and memorable.
